S-Fold vs pinch pleat curtains

S-Fold curtains hang in even waves and cost $173 for an 1800 mm sheer pair. Pinch pleat curtains have stitched pleats at the top and cost $152 for the same window. S-Fold looks modern and stacks tighter. Pinch pleat looks more traditional and works on most existing tracks.

Fabric and fullness

S-Fold uses 2.2× the track width in fabric. Pinch pleat uses about 2×. More fullness means deeper, more even folds.

Track

S-Fold needs an S-Fold track with gliders spaced to set the wave. Pinch pleat hangs on hooks from a standard track or a rod with rings, so it often works with what is already on the wall.
